1. Leave the wingate field blank to send mail directly to the mail server. If you do not use a wingate, the mail header will show the ip of the machine that you sent the mail from.
2. With this version I got pissed at trying to figure out timing out. So, it does not time out anymore. My advice to you is to make sure that both the wingate and the mail server are up and working right before you try to send mail through them. Still, if you hit send and are just staring at the results window for a minute, chances are its not going to connect. It will let you know when it connects to the wingate and also when it connects to the mail server.
3. I added a Save and Load function. Basically, this will just save ONE of your settings to a preferences file in the prefs. folder on your disk. I will hopefully be adding multiple settings saving sometime, but things are not cooperating with me.
4. About the To: field. This program will only send to the addresses listed in the box. It will not send to anything in the To: field. So Add every address you want to send to.
General advice: Play with this program by sending mail to yourself first and see what comes up in the headers and so forth.
